Istikhara Dua for Marriage Proposal for Choosing Life Partner

Mostly, there comes a time in our lives when we find ourselves looking for someone to help us succeed at something. We may get to a stage where we look for advice on pursuing a job, traveling by car or by plane, or even buying a house.

At times like these, it’s vital that you know your worth and make sure you’re asking the right questions to the right people because sometimes what experts deem as the best possible advice isn’t always the right, especially when it’s coming from somebody who you doesn’t know or feel comfortable around. It’s also important to communicate that too so they’ll recommend somebody else if they do feel their expertise is not enough to give you what you need. In this situation, most of the Muslims prefer istikhara ki dua. Istikhara Dua is considered to be one of the purest method to get a direct indications whether to go or not for the things we’re about to perform.

As Muslims, we have strong convictions that no one is as Knowledgeable in knowing things as Allah SWT, Who has made certain deeds compulsory for us, such as prayer or fasting and following the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) so that we can benefit from them.

(O Allah! I ask guidance from Your knowledge, And Power from Your Might and I ask for Your great blessings. You are capable and I am not. You know and I do not and You know the unseen. O, Allah! If You know that this job is good for my religion and my subsistence and in my Hereafter–(or said: If it is better for my present and later needs)–Then You ordain it for me and make it easy for me to get, And then bless me in it, and if You know that this job is harmful to me In my religion and subsistence and in the Hereafter–(or said: If it is worse for my present and later needs)–Then keep it away from me and let me be away from it. And ordain for me whatever is good for me, and make me satisfied with it).

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) outlined some recommended ways to seek the goodness of Allah. For example, he said that if one is in a situation where they feel they have done everything they can to make the right decision, but they feel uncertain or uncomfortable about whether their choice is the best possible course of action, one can simply proceed with what they are doing, and pray that Allah will guide and protect them during that process.

In Islam, the best way to approach problems is through seeking the help and advice of Allah because He is omniscient and knows best. It’s a common saying that if someone makes the intention to embark on something significant, he should consult his Lord because it is both rewarding in this world and the hereafter.

Istikhara ki dua is a prayer performed by Muslims when they are seeking guidance from Allah about a decision they need to make. It is a way of asking for Allah’s help in making the best decision.

There are different ways of performing Istikharah dua, but the most common way is to pray two rak’ahs (cycles) of optional prayer, then make dua (supplication) for guidance. When making a decision, Muslims should first seek guidance from Allah through Istikhara. If they feel that Allah is guiding them to go ahead with the decision, then they should do so. If they feel that Allah is advising them not to go ahead with the decision, then they should not do so. Istikhara is not a way of predicting the future but is a way of asking for Allah’s guidance in making the best decision.

Istikharah dua as a method of decision-making is an invaluable asset when it comes to matters that are out of one’s own grasp. Acting in accord with the principle of dua e istikhara allows us to be transparent with other people and bring Allah into our decision-making process, which goes a long way in bringing He Who Gives All Goodness closer to us at all times.

Angels of Allah, whom we have been told to believe in, are treated with extra special reverence. When a person petitions Allah while they are awake or reliving dreams/memories during sleep, the Creator shows special favor toward them and we use this time to ask for His help and guidance in matters concerning ourselves.
